It's a GIRL!!!

We are so happy to introduce our beautiful daughter Abilgail Claire!
Born 11/10/11 @ 1:19am
8lbs 10oz and 20 3/4 inches!

So far everything is going great and we are loving being a family of four.  Eli is starting to become much more interested in Abby, and always wants to know where she is.  We were very surprised at her weight (she is exactly 2 pounds bigger than Eli was) but I think what they say is true...about bigger babies sleeping better.  So far she is doing great (knock on wood)!

Hopefully things continue to go well and we all adjust to our new precious baby.  Ryan has to go back to work tomorrow....so I am quite nervous about that.  Wish us luck!

So...it has been a while!

Well, I have to admit that I have become quite the slacker when it comes to updating this blog.  I guess I have just been busy with other things.  I always get excited when everyone else updates their blogs, so I figured maybe I should return the favor and actually update mine!

The biggest update is that our house is about to get a little more crazy...Baby #2 is due November 9th! We decided to be surprised about the sex again, so I cannot wait to see if we are having a boy or a girl! 

Here is what is going on at 36 Weeks:

Sleep:  Not getting much these days.  Up several times to go to the bathroom, and lots of tossing and turning to attempt to find a comfortable position.  Although, I am fully aware that I am getting much more sleep now then I will be getting when the baby is here.

Food/Cravings:  I still love to eat!  Ha ha, well even though I do not technically have Gestational Diabetes this pregnancy, I am borderline.  I have been watching my diet the entire pregnancy and still do occasional blood sugar testing.  So of course I'm craving the sweets because I cannot eat them.  Other than that, all food looks good to me!  The spicier the better!!!

Weight Gain:  22 pounds, less than last time!!

Eli's Current thoughts on the baby: This seems to be a good week!  He is now fully aware that there is a baby in my belly (he used to think that he had a baby in his belly too), and he is excited about being a big brother!  Recently when we bought diapers for the baby, Eli insisted that they were for him. He has also been known to say on several occasions, "I'm the baby too Mommy!"

Swelling:  Much better than last pregnancy!!!  So far no real swelling to mention.  I am still able to wear my rings!

So only 4 weeks (or less) to go!  Eli came 2 weeks early, but I was induced.  We will see when this baby feels like making his/her grand entrance.  I am starting to get a little bit nervous/anxious about what is to come, and whether I am ready for it??   But I am so excited to meet this baby!  I cannot wait for all the new memories we will make in the upcoming months as our family of 3 grows into a family of 4!!!

92 inches and counting!

Wow! It has been a really long time! Eli is 18 months old now. He is 27.2 pounds and 34 inches tall. He runs all over the house, loves to read books, and is starting to do a lot of talking. We hope everyone is having a wonderful winter!

Happy Easter!

We hope that everyone had a wonderful Easter! I have been bad about blogging, so I will try to give everyone a quick update. Eli is now 8 months old, and weighs 17lbs 12oz. He does not have any teeth yet, but loves eating his fruits and veggies! He loves sitting up and playing with toys, and being in his Exersaucer. He is not crawling yet, so we are enjoying the time we have left before we have to start chasing him all over. Here are several pictures from the past 2 months.

Eli's Half Birthday!

It is very easy to get behind on blogging when you have a cute cuddly baby to play with, feed, bathe, etc. So I guess I need to catch everyone up with 5 and 6 month pictures. Eli turned 6 months on January 28th, and now weighs 16lbs 11oz. I cannot believe a half a year has already gone by. Eli is such a happy baby, and full of smiles everywhere he goes. He knows how to roll over both directions, is learning how to sit up on his own, and likes to eat his veggies for dinner!

Eli enjoys going to "school" and playing with his friends. I continue to stay busy at work, and am back part-time (3 and a half days a week). Wednesday is our favorite day of all!! Pajama Day!!! Wednesday is my day off, so Eli and I usually stay in our PJ's all day and play and read books!

Eli 4 Months

It has been a great weekend here in South Bend! I have 5 days off from work, so Eli, Ryan, and I get to spend some quality time together. We had a wonderful Thanksgiving with my family, so only had to go a block down the street for dinner. Eli got to wear his "1st Thanksgiving" outfit that the neighbors gave him. Yesterday we all slept in, and had a great day of lounging around in our pajamas. Today Eli is 4 months old, and he has had a very busy day. Eli has been working on rolling over for about a week now, and today he was successful! He rolled over from his belly to his back 4 times all by himself. He also rolled over from his back to his belly twice with very minimal assistance!

Today we started putting up our Christmas decorations! It has been fun listening to Christmas music (which you can do now because it is after Thanksgiving) and hopefully by tomorrow we will have everything up!

Eli 3 Months

Here are some updated pictures of our little man. It is hard to believe he is 3 months old...growing so fast! Two weeks ago I went back to work. I am working part-time, three and a half days a week. So far Eli seems to like daycare. The picture of him in his car seat is his first day of school!

The weekend of my birthday we drove a long 7 hours to Evansville so Eli could meet his great grandparents. It was great for Eli to meet lots of family!
